There is a really funny version of this on the Teacher's forum page called "Kids Say the Darndest Things." I thought there should be one on the TA's forum as well.

One little girl, I think she's four was being quizzed by the older girls on her math skills. One of the girls asked her what 1+0 equaled. She raised an eyebrow, put her hands on her hips, and very firmly stated, "8."

Another little one ran up to me once in class and whispered, "Miss Eden, my name isn't Zoe anymore. It's Glitter Girl." That same day, she asked the other girls in class if they wanted to play "princess."

cute. I had my mother who had traveled from out of town watch one of the baby classes I teach. I told the class that she was my mom.. and one little girl said " I didn't know you had a mommy. I thought YOU were the mommy" lol

I know, they just come up with so much that you cannot help but laugh. Kids and animals are just humorous!

I have a little 4 year old in my jr. 1 jazz class who cannot pronounce her hard c sound, and it doesnt help that her name is Kate! She was going to Florida and I was talking to her and said, "Kate you should just pack me in your suitcase!" she replied in an exasperated voice, "Why does everybody keep saying that! My suitcase is not big enough for you and my school teacher to fit in it!"

I have my own class right after the class I assist with. One of the girls who is in my class came a few minutes early to do some extra stretching and she walked through the front room that I was teaching in to go to the back room. One of the four year olds in my class walked up to her and said "Hi what's your name?" And she replied "My name is Becca, what's your's?" to which the little girl cowered and ran the other way.

Last week during one of my 3-4 year old classes when we were all standing in a circle about to do our princess dance, one of the little girls pipped up and said "Miss Vanessa...my bottom is itchy!" So funny coming from a little girl all dressed up in her fairy outfit, wings and all!!
