Real laminated rose petals.

Those are real rose petals! My sister, mom & I went to Elizabeth Park which has an amazing Rose Gardens. The state keeps it up and obviously you can't pick any of the roses. Darn! However, you can pick all the rose petals you want from off of the ground to take home and put in a dish that makes them smell yummy or do what I did. I laminated them to use on a card! They even smell through the laminate! Well, they do to me anyway.

Wow that's really clever, laminating opens up a whole new world.
It's really nice how you can still smell it through, and that you get the delicate look of petals with the strength of the plastic. Nice abstract background too, which kind of contrasts with the organic shapes of the petals.

I love to laminate things! I've also laminated fall leaves.

Thank you for all the complements. I think this card came out especially well. I may go back next week and I hope to get more petals when I go.
