my daughter is on a competitive dance team and this is our first year to compete in clogging. experiencing a problem with the shoes being too slick causing her to fall. tried hairspray and duct tape to increase traction but nothing has worked. any suggestions? recital today!

I hope she made it through the recital ok. For future reference, take the clog shoes outside and scrape the taps on the concrete to roughen them up. My daughter has had several pairs of clog shoes over the years, but only two sets of clog taps. One set for the black shoes, one for the white. When she gets a new pair of shoes, we just have the old taps moved over to the new pair of shoes.
