She was just officially added to their agency. That is the one that got her the job for Target last week. The manager, Renee, is so sweet.

Yay -- congratulations! How did the Target shoot go last week? (If you already provided that update, sorry I missed it...) Did Valya like it? Was the weather tolerable? As I recall it was a brutally hot day.

It was freaking hot!!! 95 was the temperature, but the heat index was much higher in the city.

I dropped off my daughter and granddaughter at the trailer that was home base. The shoot was in Riverside Park, which is on the west side, uptown. Then my mom and I (she is 82) went to the Cloisters for a nice time until we had to pick them up.

They had two pregant women, a man, and two girls, in the park, on the playground, in fall clothes. When done, Valya was upset that she could not stay and play at the playground. The heat made her a bit cranky.

The other little girl fell down, in the beginning, and was cranky for a bit, but then was fine.

They put sneakers, with no socks, on Valya, caused a blister and then decided to put an icy hot thing on the open blister, causing her great pain. By that time, she was done for.

The photographer said it was fine (that is why they hired TWO kids and not one) that she did not have to finish the last part.

We went back to my mom's in Staten Island, ate at a Chinese buffet restaurant, then headed home.

I told the agent about it and said that I hoped her being cranky was not an issue, but she said it happens a lot with the little ones (hey, just like in dance) and they are used to it.

Now she just has to wait for her paycheck. I will get some of it because I have been paying for her photos, travel, etc., as my daughter said they will pay me back what I laid out, but I will not make them pay it all back, just some of it. I consider it a gift, lol.

I just hope that she will get more jobs to put money away for her. It is a very fickle business, so we will see.
