Just a couple of my baby ballet classes at dress rehearsal.

Funny story about the first group. They went after one of our boys only hip hop classes in the show. Well, the boys did a "bum spin" in their routine. I guess one of my student thought it was a pretty awesome move. She came on stage, did our entire dance, then sat down, did a bum spin, stood up and jumped high in the air with a fist pump. It sure was a crowd favourite! I was laughing so hard backstage!

I can't believe you didn't choreograph the bum spin in the dance!!! We may need to work with you! ;) Cute kids; pretty costumes! Glad it was a good experience!

That is really funny! Was this student as observant in ballet class as she was at her recital?... The juxtaposition of the precious angel in her beautiful tutu, and the spontaneous hip hop move -- too much! How did her parents respond?

She was very observant in class! Her parents thought it was hilarious! She added a little spice to my ballet choreography!

Too funny!!!!

Last year, I had one 3 year old little girl who located her Dad in the audience and happens to also call him by his first name (which is funny on it's own). She spent the entire dance waving and saying "Hey...I see Steve. Hiiiii STEVE!!!! Hey look...there's Steve!!!"

I have a group this year that is a TOTAL "roll the dice" group. Some are not quite 3. It should be interesting. :D

I'm going in to a recital tomorrow, and I am totally not sure what to expect. Usually I get to take my little ones on the stage (since I teach in the same building) at least once so they can get all their nerves and silliness out of their system. But because out spring was so busy with competitions we've been out in a high school, so I have not been able to lay down the law on stage rules so who knows what I will see. Oh well.... thats the cute part. I love my little ones!

MissAlice they all look so cute. I've seen the second costume up close and I absolutely love it.

We had an adorable 4 year old this year, she did her entire jazz routine and the group of 8 kids walks off stage left waving to the audience as part of the routine and she runs to the centre and bows over and over again until the lights start to fade and she ran to join her classmates.
