I'm still a younger teacher (20's). It depends what styles I have for the day as to what I wear. If I am teaching jazz or tap I'm in Capris or Capri leggings and a shirt (not baggy, but I am one who usually does the cut neck thing, but not baggy and falling off). If I am teaching hip hop, I'm usually in Capris or sweatpants Capris or sweatpants (advent hh only for sweatpants) and sneakers I wear only for hh (usually 6.0's or some kind of sneaker). If I am teaching lyrical or contemporary I'm either in legging Capris or bike shorts with a shirt. I find cutting the style helps me and the kids "get in the mindset" especially for hh. I hate wearing pants, even in the winter, I only do if I need to do laundry. I don't know why I don't like long dance pants
Oh and jazz shoes for jazz, bare feet or paws for contemporary /lyrical. |
