Moved to Ballet - Wanted by Chaconne (182529) on 2011-06-30 08:54:25 More likely to get response here...member request

I'm in need of a new leotard. I saw a really nice one from Mirella. I have to buy it from the internet and the only size they have is an english dresssize 8. My dresssize is a 8-10.
Now I hope that someone could tell me if the leotards from Mirella fall small of larger. (the last sentence isn't correct english, I know, but I hope you know what I mean.)

Greetings, Merle

I have a couple of Mirella leotards they are longer in the girth but I find they fit closer to the chest and hips, not tight, just closer.

I think Mirella leotards run on the large side -- like most other dance wear. I normally wear a UK size 8 in non-dance clothes, but a large in Mirella leotards. Hope that helps.

Mirella comes quite small compared to "normal" clothes.

edit: ^That's funny. I made the exact opposite experience. :D In Mirella I need one size larger.

Yeah, I'm usually a small or medium in everyday clothes, but I wear a large in most dance clothes (including Mirella).

I think Wear Moi is the only brand in which I wear a medium; the torso of their leotards tend to be long.

^ Oh, sorry, I didn't read your post correctly. :) I thought you mean they come large (like not only in length but in general).

I have a couple of leotards by Mirella and as most of the brands that sell leotards Mirella sizes run small. I'm quite tiny and I normally wear a European size 34, but I have to order M with Mirella.

Thanks for your quick responses.

The reason that I'm doubting about the size is the fact that they have a size 8 or 12. If they had had a size 10, there would be no problem. I rather buy one size too big than to too small.
If it helps, I'm only 1.60 meters long (that's 5 foot something, I never seem to remember that).

I've ordered a "small" leotard from Mirella.
I received it a few days ago and it fits beautiful.
I just thought I'd let you girls know. Thanks again for all the quick responses.

At request... this is the leotard I purchased.
www.movedancewear.com . . .

I've ordered the black one. I do like the other colors, but black is the dresscode at my studio, so black it is.

Greeting, Merle
