Some pictures of our recital this year. Very limited budget - squeezed back into the church hall we used when we first opened years and years ago - It was very crowded, very small stage, but the best recital ever. I was so proud of the students and they blew away by how amazing they were. And the more intimate, less expensive setting made for an amazing environment and attitudes I'd forgotten exsisted since we had moved to bigger theatres.

Thanks to the people who answered my post about how to take pictures off of video - Thats what these are, so not the best quality. But I love looking at everyone else's recital photos when they post on here, and I'm so proud of every single student this year thought I would go ahead and post them anyways. It was so hard to pick just 10.....

They look great and it is nice to be able to take them off of video.

You know, size of venue means nothing. Parents will love their kids on stage, no matter what. My first show was on a stage, so small, that I had to mark my floor and resize the dances because it was 1/4 the size of my dance floor.

We had a standing ovation at the end of the show, which amazed me, because I was disappointed that I could not find a bigger stage.

I too use a VERY small stage at a community center. I don't have the $ for more expensive venues, but it works fine for me. They let us use their sound board, have security, a janitor, ect. at no additional cost.

A few have complained because of limited seating, but I really like the smaller space. We have a small studio and so everything transfers better to this stage. I agre it does make it special in amny ways. It keeps everyhting more reasonable....
