Anyone watch this tonight on universal sports? What did you think? (If you missed it it's online at universalsports.com)

My thoughts:

I was sad that Shawn Johnson didn't do as great as her fans and the media hoped, but I honestly didn't think it was that bad since she hasn't compete in three years and had total reconstruction of her knee last year. Her bars were almost as good as 2008. Her beam still needs work and we didn't see her vault and floor but I think she can only go up from here. I don't think she'll make the World team but I do think she'll make the Pan American Games. And we'll just have to wait and see about the Olympics.

I am concerned about Rebecca Bross. I think she might be burning out. She just missed being old enough for the last Olympics and with so many injures I'm not sure she'll make it to the next one. Only time will tell though. Hopefuly we'll see her at Nationals in a few weeks.

I'm happy Aly won the all around as this wil likely be the only time that happens for her. It's going to be a big fight for her to make the Olympic team and even this years worlds since a lot of people weren't at full strength today.

I think former UCLA gymnast Anna Li will make the 2011 team as a bars specialist or at least be an alternate. Her fall today was just a freak slip up.

I am so surprised at Chellsie Memmel. Claiming 2nd place when no one knew she was seriously training is so impressive. She's so firecely competitive who knows what she'll accomplish in the next two years.

Jordyn Weiber is a lock on the World and Olympic team barring any injuries before these competitions. No one in the US can touch her right now.

Alicia Sacramone will also make it as a 3 event specialist provided she stays healthy. If she can up her vault difficulty she can vie for Olympic gold. Her beam is solid and her floor is beautiful but she was has to work on controlling her tumbling landings.

Then there's Kyla Ross. Poor girl isn't old enough for this years Worlds but she will be old enough for next years Olympics. She scored much higher in the junior competition than Raisman did in the senior competition. She very well could make the team too or at least be an alteernate.

It's so hard with just 6 people on the Wold ream and 5 on the Olympic team when the US has so many talented gymnasts. I didn't even touch on McKayla Maroney, Gabrielle Douglas, Sabrina Vega, Mackenzie and Bridgette Caquatto etc. etc. etc.

I DVR'd it but reading this got me really excited to watch it tonight! Sounds like it was pretty good.
