National Dance Day is this Saturday, July 30th, and a few of us from studios in the Dallas area have organized a Flash Mob for the occasion. We are performing the 3 routines choreographed by Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" and would love for you to join us.
You can learn the routines on the "So You Think Can Dance" website (just google: "national dance day routines") but make sure while learning that you pay attention to use the correct foot that the choreographers are using, and do not just mirror their movements. If you mirror them, you will be on the opposite foot as everyone else. You can also join us for a practice this Friday, July 29th from 2-4pm at Stage Door Dance Studio, 317 South Galloway Avenue, Mesquite, TX 75149. *You do not have to attend the practice to participate in the Flash Mob.
The Flash Mob will be this Saturday, July 30th at Mockingbird Station. It will begin at 1pm on the platform in front of the theatre. The performance will begin with the advanced routine, in which we expect the least amount of people to participate, followed by the intermediate routine (with more people) and finishing with the beginning routine (everybody!) which we will perform twice. The entire performance will not take longer than 5 minutes, so make sure to be on time.
Hope to see you there! |
