Crafts & Hobbies I am looking for dancer sationary for letter writing en>fr fr>en By Spiorad Comments: 1503, member since Sat Jul 22, 2006On Tue Aug 02, 2011 05:29 PM
I adopted a soldier ( www.adoptaussoldier.org ) and as I've been sending off I've also been reading through their forums and a lot of people design/decorate their letters and envelopes. Well I'm not that crafty and unfortunately I do not have time to sit down and decorate every single paper/ envelope.
I am looking to see if anyone knows of any dancer stationary they can point me to? I don't want the bright pink little kid ballerina stuff with cartoon pointe shoes stuck somewhere. I would like something a little more classy and grown up. Maybe something light in the background and lined.
Any ideas? 7 Replies to I am looking for dancer sationary for letter writing |

I don't actually know of any, but if you don't find anything premade you like, I think you'd find rubber stamping quite do-able. Just find a ballerina stamp you like, and an in pad, and stamp it at the top of your paper. If you find a nice base sheet, it could look really nice.
There's also this:

You can also take whatever pic you find that you like to a print/copy place (even Office Depo or Staples would do) and they can mass copy it onto several blank sheets of your choosing for you to use later. It doesn't take very long, either.
I made my dad's funeral programs this way, found a couple of pics I liked and put it together on my computer, brought my flash drive to them, picked the paper I wanted to use and they reproduced them for me. My family folded them and that was that. |

Okay, I am having a problem doing this! Ahhhhhh.... ! LOL I have a bunch of sites saved to my favorite places that offer free stationary that you can download to your printer. I don't remember if any of it was dance related but I found so much that I loved that I printed a bunch of it out for a friend of mine who I still letter write too. If I can figure out how to send you the links, I will. Maybe if you sent me an e-mail? |

Take any picture you like, bring it into "My Pictures", and bring it into Microsoft Word as a Watermark - a faint background.
Here are the detailed instructions for Word 2007:
1. On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Background group, click Watermark.
The menu looks about like this:
▼Watermark▼
▼Page Color▼
▼Page Borders
Page Background
2. Click Printed Watermark.
3. Click Picture watermark, and then click Select Picture.
4. Select the picture that you want, and then click Insert.
5.Select a percentage under Scale to insert the picture at a particular size.
6.Select the Washout check box to lighten the picture so that it doesn't interfere with text.
The picture that you selected is applied as a watermark to the entire document.
Tip If you want to use an object, such as a shape, as a watermark, you can manually paste or insert it into the document. You cannot use the Printed Watermark dialog box to control settings for these objects. |

Guess what? I am on a MAC so what you are saying is greek to me. I don't have Microwsoft Word. Could you PM me your e-mail and I could send it to you in an e-mail? Since my Favorite Places is on the same page as DDN if you know what I mean, I can't copy and paste to put it on here. If it was in an e-mail, that wouldn't be a problem. In fact, I put it in an e-mail and was going to copy and paste to you here but all it put in the e-mail was links to click on, not something I could copy and paste. I know you probably don't want to give out your e-mail to someone you don't know and I respect that if you do. I promise I will not give your e-mail out and I will only use it to send you those links. If you want to PM or e-mail me about dance or something, feel free. If you can think of anything else, let me know. I know you will like what I found. |
