They're great! I love the costumes Picasso designed (for Ballet Russes and others).

I don't know if I would enjoy dancing in some of them though... -> www.flickr.com . . .

^Wow, that's wild! It looks like a Picasso painting come to life.

I like the contemporary ballet costumes, especially the really simple ones... one of my favorite styles is when the whole company comes out on stage with different fancy black leotards (I've seen several different companies do it). There's also a costume that I've seen on here--I don't know what ballet it's from, but it has a "pancake tutu" that's just like a disk of cloth? I think it's lime green. I like that costume, too.

This one?

It's from Forsythe's 'The Vertiginous thrill of Exactitude' (if it's the same one).

OneGiantLeap, that's it! I wonder whose idea it was to distill a pancake tutu down to one little disc of cloth...

I love those Alice in Wonderland costumes! I didn't want to go find my earbuds so I watched the videos without sound... the dancing and visuals spoke for themselves. I especially loved the close-ups of the bodices in the costumes and sets video!

My favorite ballet costumes have to be the white tulle dresses in Act Two of Giselle. They are just so pretty and soft. My second favorite are the swan costumes from Swan Lake. I love the feathers and Pancake tutus have and always will be my favorite ever tutus.
