Ok So I figure I wanted to ask since I never posted in this area. Anyone who takes cheer takes ballet, tap, clogging or jazz or anything. And does it help you in coordination in cheer you think?

I danced (ballet, jazz, modern) for three years before I started cheer and it helped me sooo much in cheer. I was made a flyer almost immediately and I also was able to help choreography some of the sideline dances. My only issue between cheer and dance was the technicality of the two, dance is usually more loose and cheer was a little more stiff for me-but my coordination from dance really helped to pick up routines faster. Hope that answers your question

Very cool. I teach tap and I tell the kids who does cheer from my tap class. Is tap on everything you can in tap shoes. So your coordination stays in balance.

Throughout high school and part of college I cheered and danced at the same time. I took ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe and acro in high school. And took a couple random classes (academic and recreational) each semester in college. I think it did help with cheerleading. It helped with staying in shape, but also with flexibility, posture, stamina etc. The dance done in cheerleading is different, but having a background in more traditional dance forms certainly helped. I haven't cheered in 3 years and haven't danced in over a year, just don't have the time or money while I'm in grad school and interning. But I really enjoyed doing both when I was younger.
