How can I give my self a competitive edge? en>fr fr>en

I dance at a company with VERY talented dancers who all have flawless tilts next to their heads and legs that are solid muscle. I'm not a bad dancer, but I'm a string-bean with no muscle or flexibility. I stretch and condition outside of dance, but what else can I do to give myself a competitive edge?

People ask this question all the time, but you're not going to like the answer... There is no magic solution to becoming a great dancer. Work hard, be consistent, learn all you can about anatomy and nutrition... It's not a secret. If you want to be a better dancer, dance more often. And REALLY put some thought into the corrections your teachers give you so you can apply them more effectively. I wish I had more interesting advice to give you, but I don't. If you want to be more competitive, practice harder, longer, and more often. Push yourself until you discover your limits. Work your butt off. That's really the only thing you can do. And either it will make you competitive or it won't - but you'll never know unless you really give it everything you've got.

I agree!! Just like an athlete, the better you want to be, the more you must train. If you are having difficulties, find teachers who will help you with those issues and practice until you can't anymore.
