Get it checked out BEFORE smoke/steam starts coming out from your hood.

I just wanted to share this story and hope some people can learn from it.

A while a go I noticed that when I turned on my AC, my car would feel like it was revving and it had a low hum sound. I just figured since my car is old it was bound to start making odd noises sooner or later. So I take my to Vancouver and back (15 hours each way) and drive around town and ignore this odd sound. Well yesterday, I took my brother out to teach him how to parallel park and right when we were finishing up, he was letting the car roll forward and looking at me to ask me a question. Next thing I know I have smoke/steam coming from under my hood. I yelled at him to stop the car and we got out to look at it. We noticed a liquid all over the ground so I got it to a mechanic.

Turns out that odd noise was the due to the fact that my relay stopped working! Meaning that no cold air was being blown into my engine. It got so hot in their the coolant over heated and boiled out all over the place! Thankfully no other damaged was caused so it was a pretty easy fix.

I sure learned my lesson though, if my car makes a weird noise, get it looked at right away!

Whenever I hear my car making odd noises, I repAIr it immediatly.
