They took photos in 4 costumes and one leotard. These are the ones that I found on the site. I think that they came out very well. I can't wait to show her. She is on vacation right now with her mom.

So cute!! I think I got my Curtain Call catalogs in today's mail, and now I'm motivated to open them, to spot more of Valya.

She had a photo in an electric blue costume, see the photo. You can sort of see it here, but cannot find it, unless they did not use it or load it.

She was supposed to do more costumes, but she only got to do 3/4 of a day. The original two days that she was booked, was the first time she ever got really sick and had to cancel. We thought she was done, but then I got a call that they found they needed more photos and could she come for a day. So, it worked out.

The other photo, will not be in that book, because it was a leotard.

Can't wait to receive my CC catalog so that I can show off Valya's pics to my staff & brag that she is "my bud Janet's" granddaughter! I think everyone who's been on this site for the past few years feels like we know her & are enjoying watching her grow up. Gorgeous pictures, gorgeous child, and a natural in front of the camera.

I love the photo you took and the photo in the light pink outfit. Her eyes look very natural and shows out how beautiful she is .

The other two photos her eyes just look weird to me. Sort of deer in headlights but not quite? I can't put my finger on it; just looks un-natural is the best way I can put it.

The photos are all adorable! I just prefer her eyes one way over another I guess LOL.

Yeah, I know. I saw many of the pics on the monitor and some of the ones that they chose, I would not have, and vice versa, but I guess they want to show more of the costume and do not worry about what we like. That's modeling!

I just opened my book I got yesterday so I could see her. Just lovely! The one in pink and white is first and she's 3/4 of the page. The costume in motion scan things are right on the pages, did she do any of those? Congratulations.

If you are selling costumes, the look you go for may be different from the look you go for when you are showing off the beauty of the model. In the first one -- white with black polka dots, Valya's expression draws me to the costume. In fact that first shot has an almost painted quality, with a "star-in-your-eyes" expression. It's not the incredible, natural, sparkly Valya look. But I bet it will sell costumes. The blue/white/gold tutu picture looks like a more mature expression -- a glimpse of Valya to come?...

Whatever it is, Valya's got it. Has she seen her pictures, and what does she think of them? Congratulations!

As soon as I opened my book I knew it was her! She is just precious! Is she in another catalog too? I could have sworn I saw her in another one.

It's funny, but when picking names, that was not on the list, at first. When my daughter was going to name her Gianna, a good friend named theirs Giana, and she did not want to use the same name.

When she first said, Valya, I said it sounded like Valium, and if you say her first and middle name, Valya Lynn, it sounds like violin. LOL

Now, I could not picture her with any other name. It is a common name in Russia, btw. It's a female version of Valentine, my dad's middle name.

Her dance teacher, my former boss, kept calling her Val, and she would not answer her. Finally she said, "Miss Sue, my name is Balya!!," before she could say her Vs. LOL

She is quite stunning. My goodness, what a doll.

No other catalog. They all want you to be exclusive now... haha for $100 per day, which is funny because that is such a small amount to the other modeling, now.

If you do go for another catalog, and they find out, they will not take you back, but you can the next year, just not the same year.

She was a last minute, replacement, when she got sick for her initial dates, so that may have already been done.

Fun! I always wondered who those gals were in the catalog... I guess I know one now! =)

Yes, all dance students. Most companies use dance studio kids because they can do dance poses. Most of them, you can go to their site and download forms. I had several of my students do a few companies, that were within driving distance.

It was fun to open the catalogs and see my students and I would promote that in my ads, too. I never knew what parent would think that I could get their kid into modeling, lol, and sign them up.
