I've travelled in every state in Australia (yes, even Tassie!) and I've been to Vanuatu (for my honeymoon).
That's it.
I'd like to go pretty much anywhere else but high on the list of priorities at the moment is New Zealand to visit Hubby's family and Italy for a second honeymoon.

I've been in:
Europe:
Belgium (live there)
France
Germany
Nederlands
Spain
Luxembourg
Italy (Tuscana)
Norway (Oslo)
Sweden (Stockholm)
Austria (Vienna: my now husband proposed there)
Ireland (Dublin)
UK (London)
Switzerland
Monaco
US
Chicago (have some family there)
Africa
Tunisia
Morocco
Asia
Egypt (Charm el Cheik)
Turkey
Thailand (only Bangkok airport)
Oceania
Australia (Western Australia, from Esperance to Broom. Was an exchange student there.)
There are a lot more countries we'd like to visit. The list is too long! | re: What countries have you visited?, And what countries do you want to see that you haven't? en>fr fr>en By Emma Comments: 6803, member since Mon Nov 29, 2004On Wed Aug 24, 2011 10:03 AM

I have lived in:
Northern Ireland (home); Scotland (5 years);
I have sort of lived in:
France (5 months); Peru (2 months); Spain (1 month). As in, lived in one place, was part of community, worked/volunteered there.
I have travelled to:
Europe
Most of Ireland & North; Large areas of Scotland inc. Orkney islands; England including Norfolk, Chichester, Kent, London, Newcastle, a night in Manchester and a few in Liverpool.
France, on a family holiday aged 5, not sure where exactly, and the Alps, Serre Chevalier & Les Orres.
Have been in Turin airport multiple times through work, but never in Italy other than that. Same with Geneva/Switzerland.
Andorra to ski.
Amsterdam & Rotterdam.
Spain, including Ibiza for a night out, Denia on the costa blanca, Galicia for my month at summer camp, Madrid for a day, Barcelona for 4, and kayaking on the costa brava.
Germany: Bavaria, including Munich and Nuremburg, two week trip. Also spent a day in a czech town I don't remember the name of.
Australasia
New Zealand North Island. Auckland, Taupo, Rotorua, National Park, and Wellington. 2 weeks.
South America
Peru. Lima, Cusco, Arequipa, Puno.
Bolivia. Copacabana, Isla del sol/lake titicaca, La Paz, Salar de Uyuni.
Chile. La Serena & Santiago.
Argentina. Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Mendoza, Cordoba, Iguazu.
Brazil. Sao Paulo.
I also spent a short time in Ciudad del este in Paraguay.
I'd love to see so much of America & Canada, more of Europe. A lot of Africa, and some Asian countries. Also more of New Zealand. My only desire to go to Australia is for the people that I know personally and that I know from here. I'm sure it's great, but it's a bit too much "everyone's doing it."
Definitely want to see Iceland and Nordic countries. Moscow & St. Petersburg. And Berlin, definitely Berlin.
I have a travel blog electric-socks.blogspot.com It doesn't have my New Zealand trip, but it does have Holland & South America, plus some of Spain. | re: What countries have you visited?, And what countries do you want to see that you haven't? en>fr fr>en By smileywoman Comments: 10640, member since Sat Sep 17, 2005On Wed Aug 24, 2011 06:20 PM
On my life's list of things to do before I expire...visit every country of my ancestry:
1) Holland, 2) England, 3) Ireland, 4) Scotland, 5) Wales, 6) North America.
NOT VISIT YET
1) 3) 4) and 5) have not been done yet because I ran out of time on my first trip to Europe for my 50th birthday last year.
VISITED
2) England for my 50th birthday last year. 6) I live in N America (small percentage of Native American blood...black foot tribe). | re: What countries have you visited?, And what countries do you want to see that you haven't? en>fr fr>en By RainbowStarz Comments: 1689, member since Fri Feb 27, 2004On Thu Aug 25, 2011 11:18 PM

I live in Australia and have been to the following states/territories within Australia:
Victoria
New South Wales
Queensland
South Australia
Northern Territory
I would love to see the remaining states/territories. I will probably get visit the ACT at the end of the year.
Overseas, I've only been to New Caledonia (Isle of Pines and Noumea on our honeymoon cruise). I really want to visit New Zealand, Guam, Europe - particularly Holland because I have Dutch heritage, Japan, Canada and the US - In the US, Vegas comes to mind and perhaps New York, LA and Colorado. I have a friend who used to live in Colorado and recommended it as a must see place if I ever make it to the US. It's such a pity Australia is so far away from most of the places I want to visit! | re: What countries have you visited?, And what countries do you want to see that you haven't? en>fr fr>en By Sarahdncr Comments: 135, member since Wed Jul 29, 2009On Sat Sep 03, 2011 11:02 AM

I live in British Columbia, Canada and have been to Alberta and Ontario as well in in Canada. In the US I've been to Seattle, Washington, Las Vegas, Nevada, and to Alaska on a cruise.
I've been to Europe once, and while I was there I landed in London, took another plane to Nice, France and stayed in Antibes for a couple of days. From there we flew to Barcelona, Spain for three nights and then went back to Antibes and did a day trip to San Remo, Italy for a market.
I'm planning on doing a road trip to California next year to go to Disneyland.
In the future I hope I have the opportunity to explore Europe more extensively. I want to go back to France and Italy, for sure. I'd love to go to Wales with my boyfriend as that is a big part of his paternal heritage. I would like to go to the Ukraine and Serbia to explore both my Mom and Dad's sides. | re: What countries have you visited?, And what countries do you want to see that you haven't? en>fr fr>en By rr_lover Comments: 511, member since Sat Feb 02, 2008On Sun Sep 04, 2011 01:52 PM
@Coccinella: , i'll be in California myself next year visiting my best friend and her family who live in Torrance, Ca.

I'm from Australia, and I have been to every state here, as well as the Northern Territory (NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, Queensland, South Australia & Western Australia).
I've covered most ground in my country and I love it. I think its important to explore your own country before you explore others. Australia is fantastic.
I've also been to;
Germany
France
The Netherlands
United Kingdom
Singapore
Thailand
Japan
New Zealand
Next on my list is the good ol' USA! I am hoping to visit at the end of the year. I'd also really like to see Sweden and Finland as well as Canada. | re: What countries have you visited?, And what countries do you want to see that you haven't? en>fr fr>en By LiveLoveDance5 Comments: 148, member since Fri Jan 30, 2009On Tue Sep 20, 2011 08:01 PM
Hmm, let's see.
Well, I was adopted from South Korea when I was 6 months old. So I lived there for 6 months! I currently live in New York.
Within the USA, I've been to Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Maryland, Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
Outside of the USA, I've been to Canada several times, England, France, and Greece. I'm only a freshman in college, though, so I've still got tons of time to travel!
On my travel list: Australia, South Africa, Germany, Croatia, Sweden, Turkey, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Antarctica (yes, you can travel there! But from what I've read, you go with science researchers. But still...) I really just want to travel the world. My school offers study abroad-type trips over our longer vacation breaks, so I'm hoping to apply/be accepted for the trip to Kenya! | |

I've been really lucky, I've been quite a few places. I'm English, and have travelled pretty extensively in my own teeny tiny country, and have also been too (in order):
1. Scotland
2. Wales
3. France
4. Malaysia
5. Cambodia
6. Thailand
7. Italy
8. Vatican City
9. Germany
10. Czech Republic
11. Slovakia
12. Slovenia
13. Brazil
14. Paraguay
15. Argentina
16. Chile
17. Bolivia
18. Peru
19. Portugal
20. Croatia
21. Serbia
22. Bosnia and Herzegovina
23. Morocco
4 different continents, not too bad! It is my ambition to visit every country in the world before I die, a big ask I know, but I think I can do it! |
