I haven't gotten to talk about my piercings in so long, I'm rambling. Hope some of that was helpful.

I don't mind your rambling! I've got a sudden interest to piercings so it doesn't bother me. Once I get my tragus I want to get a helix on the other ear and possibly a rook somewhere in there. And then I'll stop. I don't like the look of overcrowded ears, I just think it looks messy. So we'll have to see if I still want the rook once everything else is done!

It seems like forever since I've written in here! Now I'm back into updating my blog more than my diary here. It's the same cycle all the time, I swear!

Picture 1 up there is when little Sadie fell asleep in my arms while I was on the computer. I've also noticed I call her "little Sadie" more than "Sadie." Oh well.

Picture 2 was just a random pic for no real reason.

Going home in two days...I'm very excited! Tragus piercing in two days as well. My husband's come-home date got pushed back almost a whole week so I'm not too happy (but neither is he). He's sooo ready to come home, I can tell whenever he calls me.

Anyway, that was just a short update! I'm busy trying to pack up all my things so I'll come back with a decent entry later.

Got my tragus pierced! Go to the link for a pic and small story.

More later! I decided to go home tomorrow so I'm still here for one more night. I didn't want to go to a sketchy rest area to pee at midnight so I figured it would be better to go during daylight!

We're back at home now. It feels so empty here without my husband...not to mention it's super quiet. He talks all the time and keeps the noise level up :P Sometimes that annoys me but right now I miss it.

Sadie is having a hard time re-adjusting to this house. I think she got really nervous last night when I brought her in because she clawed up my chest pretty badly and it was bleeding, ughhh. Also she seems to have forgotten that she was housebroken. Looks like we'll be doing the every-fifteen-minute trips outside again until she gets back into the hang of it. Luckily she slept all night in her crate though, which I wasn't expecting at all.

Tragus is doing good. I forgot I had it this morning so while I was showering I knocked it pretty good and it throbbed for a while.

My friend's husband (also my husband's good friend) is coming over in a minute to watch the dog for me while I go grocery shopping. There is literally NO FOOD in the house since no one has been here for like six weeks. Also for some reason the fridge was open so all the food in there spoiled anyway. I'm still confused as to how that happened but whatever.

I haven't eaten since 2pm yesterday so you can imagine how ravenous I am.

Wow, can't believe it's been almost a week since I've been home! The days have gone by soooo slowly, no lie. But now that it's Friday I'm like, "Wow, that actually went by faster than I thought." Next week will be the hard week though. He's either coming home on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday is all we know. So a week from today he could be here or a week from today he might not be here.

Sadie has been a little pest alllll day long. She has been nipping at me constantly and I'm guessing she's in another teething phase. She keeps trying to eat the couch and no matter what else I try to give to here to chew on instead, she always wants the couch. She seems to enjoy ice cubes though so I've given her a few of those (under supervision of course) to play with.

Nap time crazy-ness.

Sooo anyway. I just painted my fingernails and toes for the heck of it. Hubs doesn't come home for a few more days like I mentioned, so I'll probably redo them again. But I was just sooo bored! I got invited to a cookout tomorrow so at least I'll have something to do then. And also tomorrow is pay day so I can go grocery shopping (yay).

Since she's probably teething, I can't recommend Nylabones enough! While our dog is long out the teething, he LOVES his nylabone. Also look at the puppy kong. Your shoe collection will thank me. ;)

She definitely has a kong and she loves it. Keeps her occupied for a good while. I've never heard of Nylabone, I'll have to check that tomorrow when I'm out. She got a hold of my parent's big dog's rawhide bone and liked it but I think she's too little to have her own just yet. :/

The best part of Nylabones are that they 100% produced and manufactured. Nothing from China. :)

Thanks for the link. I'll have to see if they have them at PetSmart tomorrow, I haven't seen them anywhere else! Looks like she'd love them though, and they look pretty durable which is definitely needed around here.

Amy, you'd be pleased to know I found a Nylabone! PetSmart had sooo many. I'll have to go there from now on!

Anyway, took Sadie to PetSmart today and she was SO. EXCITED. She loves all other dogs and basically every human so her little tail was just going a thousand miles an hour. Aaaand she peed on a worker's shoes but he didn't seem to care, he just kept saying, "I've never seen a dog as happy as that one!" haha. It was cute. But she loves her Nylabone, took her a while to warm up to it but she's been playing with it since she woke up from her nap. It went underneath the couch, she she was little barking at me like, "MOM! Get me the darn bone!"

I made a yogurt pie to take to the cookout tonight. It's one of my mom's recipes and I absolutely love it. It's so easy too, so it gets more points for that lol. It's just 2 cups of yogurt (like the Yoplait kind) and an 8 oz tub of whipped cream, mixed together and put inside a graham cracker pie crust. I also added a few drops of food coloring because it came out this really weird light pink color (I used strawberry yogurt). Also got some sprinkles to go on the top. Can't wait to eat it. :D

Do their pet perks club through PetsMart, also register with Nylabone, they send coupons. For Christmas, I bought our dog a dinosaur nylabone, he LOVED it. To keep toys from going under the couch, roll up an old towel and stuff it under there. We do that and it works. :)

Oh my gosh guys, every car door I hear outside makes me jump off the couch and look out the window. No lie. I KNOW he's not supposed to be home til this weekend, but BJ is the type to tell me a certain day and show up before that as a surprise. So I gotta keep my guard up! This means keeping the house spotless and making sure everything is good to go! (Aaah I just said "good to go." Husband got that from the Corps and says it all the time...guess I'm picking up on it too lol.)

Today I went to Wal-Mart to exchange something I bought yesterday that broke. Also went to CVS to pick up my birth control. Thennn went to Goodwill to look around since I got $5 back from my Wal-Mart return. Aaaand I found a dress for the Marine Corps ball! FOR FIVE DOLLARS! Heck yeah. It's amazing and I love it. So much. November needs to hurry up. I'd put a picture on here but I don't want it to be seen just yet. I will say it's black, long, and has a ruffle in the back. :)

Got Sadie some new toys today. She's chewed through a lot of her "favorite" ones so I had to get some replacements! Wal-Mart had a bunch of the Christmas toys on sale so I got her some of those. She doesn't know the difference :P

Currently repainting my nails, and when they dry I'm heading to the store to get helium in the Welcome Home balloons. I've been cleaning the house all morning so I'm ready to go outside for a little bit. Starbucks is in my future too :P

I might be back later with more!

Just wanted to leave you all with two quick pictures! Both taken last night while I was waiting. I tried to go to sleep around 11:30 but woke up again at 1...then at 3. So I said forget it, I'll just stay up. And my husband was home shortly after 4am! He's still sleeping right now too...before he went to bed this morning he had been awake for almost 36 hours.

I'll write later!

My dog has been giving me a terrible time and I've not felt like doing ANYTHING at all. She refuses to pee and poop outside for me ever since my husband got home, but she'll go no problem for him. I don't get it. When it was just us, she was almost 100% housebroken, maybe one potty accident every other day. She would run to the back door when she had to go and wait for me to get her leash, then walk right back inside when she was done.

This has been going on almost two weeks now and I'm SO fed up. I've had to start taking her out every 30 minutes again like when she was tiny, just because I don't know what else to do! It's SO frustrating especially since she was almost 100% housebroken before.

Grrrr .

And if I was really brave, that's where it would go.

Last week I was sold on the idea of getting it in the place like the girl in the first picture, but now I'm seriously considering the second picture. I know what I want it to say so that's not the hard part. I don't really care about pain because I'm a wuss and it will hurt me either way, so that's not a deciding factor lol. I just don't knowwww!!!

I'm hoping I get enough money for my birthday to get it (June 9th I'll be 21!) but if not, the tattoo will have to wait until the fall. Still, I'm so excited!

It's been a while since I've posted in here so I figured I'd give a little update.

Above picture is from the beach today. I felt weird taking a picture but my mom texted me and wanted to see a picture of me. :P I get to go visit "home" again next weekend for my little sister's 4th birthday party. I'll only be gone overnight but I'm still excited.

Living in a military town and celebrating Memorial Day is pretty cool, to be honest. A lot of businesses shut down and the places that are open have good sales/specials going on. There's red, white, and blue everywhere and the whole vibe of the town is just really cool.

The other day my husband told me he wants to re-enlist when this contract is up. Granted, it's still early in the enlistment (the 31st will be the one year point) but it makes me happy to know he wants to stay in, at least for another four years on top of these.

We've cooked out every night since Friday and have had friends over each night too. So tonight we're taking it easy and I'm cooking inside and we're planning on playing Monopoly later, just the two of us. I seriously can NEVER beat my husband at that game...we played with our friends last night and he totally killed all of us when we landed on his hotels and had to pay $9.5 million. I'm determined to beat him one day!

Some more pictures:

Thank you! I have so many people ask me that. I should probably just make a video since I'm not the best at explaining. :P

I just twist the front back and pin it with two bobbypins in an X shape. Then with the remaining hair I'll make either a fishtail braid or a regular braid. It's one of my favorite things to do to my hair since it's fast, easy, and holds really well.

Sadie was SO excited the whole time, you can tell by the dog-smile. ;) She loves the beach!

Oh and for the record, the "YOLO" saying gets on my nerves SO much, I find it super obnoxious...but one of my friends bought me these and then some for every one else that came with us. It was basically the motto for my whole birthday weekend.

It cracks me up that BJ does the military man pose in EVERY picture. It's definitely a universal thing, we went through thousands of pictures from the past 26 years last month (I was helping my parents move) and both my dad and brother did that in every.single.picture. :P

Also, Sadie is adorable and every picture of her reminds me so much of my beloved Jay. I'm still so happy you picked a JRT, they are the best, most fun dogs ever. Keep hanging on in terms of potty training and puppy behavior. As terrible as it sounds, while I always loved him, I didn't particularly like Jay until he was about a year old and had calmed down a bit. Just yesterday, he decided that "Gus" (the automatic vaccuum thing that drives around the bottom of the pool cleaning it) was a monster that must be defeated and he spent all day trying to get in (as a terrier, he's terrified of water). He kept crouching down, sticking his head in the water and then leaping backwards. Such JRT behavior :P

I'm glad you had a great 21st! I'm excited for you to get your tattoo. You think piercings are addicting...heh. Just wait ;)

Is Sadie fixed? If not, you should probably do it soon...I know that with Lilo, we waited and it made her back track in potty training by several months.

Sadie had an appointment to be fixed on June 7th but I cancelled it because I ended up hearing bad things about the vet who does the surgery. Apparently that place is good with everything EXCEPT fixing dogs so I wanted to pick somewhere else. She now has an appointment for the first week of July. (she'll be exactly 6 months then) I can't WAIT to get her fixed...I don't want to deal with her in heat.

Haha Sadie HATES the water too! She'll go right up to where the waves start hitting the sand and be fine, she'll even get her feet wet a teeny bit, but she won't go in any farther. The first time we ever took her to the beach she literally went swimming and it was ADORABLE, but ever since then she's only got up to her ankles. She much prefers to dig big holes in the sand.

And yes, BJ does that pose in every. single. picture. I don't even notice it anymore because he does it so much actually.

----

Now for the weekend recap.

Friday night- we went to my husband's friend's house. We got there around 8 and EVERYONE was drunk already. Typical when 10 Marines are hanging out, I guess. Anyway one of them told me he would take a birthday shot with me at midnight (when I would "officially" be 21) if we wanted to stay. So we did. I don't even know what it was a shot of...some kind of a brandy that burned going down. That's all I know.

Image hotlink - 'https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/269258_4222632888367_378406002_n.jpg'
Toasting for my 21st

Image hotlink - 'https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/551745_4222632608360_17163627_n.jpg'
And down it goes. The guy on the far left is one of my husband's good friends...don't you love how he has a beer in one hand and brandy in the other. Typical.

Literally five seconds after the shot went down, two guys ran out back and puked their brains out :/ I guess that did them in completely. This next picture was taken at about 12:05 after we went outside to see if the two guys were okay.

Image hotlink - 'https://sphotos.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/600483_4221692544859_596674333_n.jpg'

We got home around one, and BJ was whining about how sick he was feeling. Ohhhh great. He ends up throwing up all over the bathroom. HOW LOVELY. He has never thrown up from drinking before so it was really unexpected. We finally settled down and got to bed around 3.

[and let me just say...yes I know I call myself a "Christian" and some people think that means that we just... "can't drink" or whatever. Well, we can. I've never had anything more than a few sips but BJ has a few every weekend but doesn't get drunk. Getting drunk is what we don't want to do...however he kind of went to far this past weekend! We all make mistakes. Live and learn just like everything else.]

Anyway. Saturday we woke up early because the people we were with the night before wanted to go to Ihop for breakfast. We had to wait for about an hour (an Ihop in a military town is INSANE on the weekends] because we had 12 people in our party. So, we eat our food and apparently someone told the waitress it was my birthday so they came and sang to me and brought me ice cream. Yeah, ice cream at ten in the morning is kind of weird, but whatever (this is where the YOLO motto of the day started). So we got out of the restaurant and went to the mall because two of the guys needed to buy swim trunks since we were going to the beach. So we walk into Hot Topic and what do you know, there's YOLO sunglasses. So they buy me some and then buy three more pairs.

We left and they insisted on riding with us and the dog to the beach. It was a super fun drive actually, the two guys in the back rolled down the windows and were saying hey to the people walking on the sidewalk. Just imagine four people in a Jeep with neon sunglasses on. Yeahh it was crazy, harmless fun!

Anyway, we had a beach day (I still hadn't had anything to drink at this point), packed up and went back home. Some OTHER friends invited us to their house to help me ring in 21 so we were planning on going over there after we showered and ate dinner.

Some pics from the beach:

We were coined the "YOLO-ers" by the rest of our friends.

Another family shot. I love looking at these pics because Sadie looks so darn excited.

A friend who just loved Sadie and Sadie loved him. Every few minutes he'd take her on a quick run up and down the beach to wear her out for us haha. The more tired she was the better she behaved!

So, now it's Saturday night. We end up not going to our friend's house, and honestly, I was super upset. I have NO idea why we didn't go, BJ just turned on his d-bag personality so suddenly for no real reason. I got really upset (probably more than I should have) because I hadn't done ANYTHING that day to say "hellooo I'm 21." He just keeps going on and on and on about how just because I'm 21 I don't need to drink (I know that, but I was looking forward to strawberry vodka and sprite ALL day like I was promised), how he doesn't want me to get drunk (I didn't want to either, I saw too much puke the night before), blah blah blah. During all this my friend is texting me asking where we're at, so I tell her to call my husband and ask him.

Long story short, we don't go. And Sunday we stay inside all day. So THAT was my super long weekend story. So yes, I'm one of those 21 y/o's who didn't get tanked for the heck of it. And I'm okay with that...I don't really like alcohol anyway and alcoholism runs on both sides of our families so I'm honestly scared of a lot of it anyway.

That brings us to today. BJ leaves tomorrow for 4-5 days to VA for something called the War Games. I don't really know much about it but he's looking forward to it. It SOUNDS kinda cool, so hopefully it is. And also today, he is transferring to a deployable unit; his previous unit was one that does not get deployed. In July we'll find out when/where/if he is deploying with the guys going next year. I'll be fine either way, I guess...I want him to experience that. He says he doesn't want to be a "boot" forever and that he wouldn't mind going.

Okay sorry for so much ramble! Cookies for those who read the whole thing.

My husband has been gone since Tuesday and it has felt like FOREVER! I think a general consensus among us military wives is this: the shorter the countdown, the longer the days feel. Obviously we welcome five day trips over year long deployments, but the past two days have just gone by sooo slowly! It's so weird because normally I don't give it a second thought when it's only this short amount of time. Blahhh.

I went to Old Navy today and got two new bathing suits for $25ish total. Awesome deal considering one of them is normally almost $40. I was going to put a pic of one on here just because I love it so much...but uh no, not gonna happen :P I tried to find what I got online but neither suit is on there anymore. Oh well.

So tomorrow I have to go to the mall to get my mom's birthday present. Her and my sissy are coming to visit me in a week and a half, I'm so excited! I made her a pretty cool picture frame already, but a few weeks ago she mentioned she wanted "some of those really cool" hand sanitizer holders from B&BW so I figured I'll get her a couple of those and then some sanitizer to put in them. Both her and I go through that stuff like crazy so I can just get mine there too I suppose. I usually just use the plain stuff from Wal-Mart or wherever but I can splurge tomorrow since I have leftover birthday money :)

Oh and just a ridiculous vent: I have a shorts tan line and it's driving me CRAZY! You can probably see it in one of the above pics. It seems that no matter how often I'm at the beach it won't go away. Same with my stomach- never gets tan, ever. That's why I've just resorted to wearing one pieces and tankinis because apparently wearing less just doesn't get me any more color. It's madness, I tell you. Not to mention I do enjoy feeling "secure" in a bathing suit and not having to worry about anything falling out haha. No good.
