LOL, I am the Cookie Monster....interesting how you can totally pretend to be someone you aren't.
Also the author of this site isn't publishing my big message about how she wouldn't be able to just track his IP address, so it is easy to get around that issue. If he wanted to use a Starbucks, a friends IP, or even reset his own.
This person who owns this site is pathetic for only censoring responses that suit her views. I wouldn't take her webpage to heart, because for all we know, she is censoring other people who may be posting a response against the "author".
This pathetic excuse for a website author keeps deleting my comment about how it is impossible for her to have the personal IP address of the author. Looks like she likes censoring, like a North Korean Dictator.
Update
She deleted about 5 more of my comments. I bet that this author just wrote a bad review pretending to be the author of the book just to prove a point. This webpage owner is unethical and her reviews can't be trusted.

She deleted our whole conversation, thus proving to me that this isn't even the real Paul K commenting. Sorry to break it to you Erin, but I think you may have linked us to a fake. |

When I first read that comment I also was highly doubtful that the author said those things. Very few people would be that reckless with their reputation, especially a self-published author who really can't afford to start burning bridges. This blog does not look heavily trafficked (judging by the amount of comments), so how the author would even find the review is beyond me. It doesn't even come up in the first handful of Google search pages.
This does not discredit the reviewer in my eyes, but rather whatever reader decided to disguise themselves as the author and oh-so-"cleverly" link back to his website, as if that increases the validity of the post. It's a wordpress blog; anyone can post anything underneath their name or a fake name, or in this case the name of someone else. |

^ Exactly.
It isn't that I am disagreeing with the review at all. ( I think she has some good points), I just found it highly odd that she deleted ALL my comments, including the one asking how she knew if it was the real author. She said she traced his IP address, and I pointed out that there is no way she has his IP address because they change. Plus, anyone could have pretended to be him, to give him bad press. Competition, scored lovers, angry people in his city etc.
I think TreasureIsland knows I am right, because she called me a troll and deleted all my arguments backed up by facts. |

I got in contact with the actual author, and he said that he did NOT write the review.
I know that I am talking to the "real" author (or a least publishers) because they sent me a file with his book that is going to be released in March 2012 to critique for him. I have to say that parents should consider getting the new book from him, and I think this whole "Maggie" drama has actually given him the negative PR that is a shame. I hope his new book inspired the younger generation. ( I love the pictures from it).
Please PM me if anyone wants my copy of "Maggie Goes On a Diet". He is sending me signed copies of his books, and he requested I give mine away to people who would enjoy it. |

^Good for you!
See, it's just like we tell our students...TENACITY! I'm so glad the writer was receptive to your messages.
(oh, and I'm sorry the impostor called you a troll.)

A simple google search did not turn up one positive review on the first two pages. So, even if this guy is not the author, the overall opinion of the book's message seems to be pretty firmly in the negative corner. My opinion hasn't changed. If I see it at the library, I will read it. But he's not getting any of my money.
