Modern Dance Videos Question about Humphrey-Weidman technique en>fr fr>en By Hippie3 Comments: 54, member since Fri Aug 04, 2006On Sun Sep 04, 2011 11:13 AM
Each year I try and teach my Modern class a new technique. I was wondering if anyone knew of a DVD that has class warm-ups from Humphrey-weidman? 7 Replies to Question about Humphrey-Weidman technique |

I've never seen any, if you find them let me know I'd be interested in them too. |

You probably already know this but -- there is a Limon Techhnique video out there demonstrating an entire class. Google it. Since Limon is sort of "descended from" Humphrey-Weidman this might be adequate. |

Thanks, I have limon and cunningham. All came from the denishaw school so they are similar. I just remember my Modern teacher in college used this one floor warm up for back/hip and I can't quite remember it. As well as the fall/recovery.
If I do find it I will post it...thanks again...still searching- |

Even though Humphrey and Weidman (trained Limon) and Graham (trained Taylor, Cunningham) came from Denishawn they do not have similar techiniques whatsoever. |

right...Humphrey-Weidman, were all about fall and recovery. I remember taking class in college where my Modern teacher gave us specific warm-ups from various choreographers. That is kind of what I am trying to do for my classes. |
