Hi, I am taking GCSE dance and I need a theme desperately for my group choreography.

The song choice is probably going to be Palladio by Escala.

Style is contemporary. there are going to be three girls in the dance, all quite good and flexible and experienced.

Thanks you
DaningDevils xxxxx :)

What we call contemporary in the UK I think you call modern in the US. GCSE dance is mostly contemporary from what I gather.

Op do you have to have a stimulus?

I am from the UK and I know what the GCSE dance syllabus is.

I was trying to establish if this was in the correct forum or not.

Okay, here's an idea I had after listening to the music.

The theme would be Hope. One girl could represent this quality. The other two could be people going through hard times/grief. The two do slow turgid steps on stage, obviously in strife. Maybe slow tendus into plies, turning backward and pushing as if against a wall. You could maybe have them also pulling one another's arm, as if they can't take a step by themselves. You could have them in unison in the beginning and then going off into individual movements on separate sices of the stage to represent isolation. Hope would come onstage and try to instill hope into each character separately. By the end of the three minutes, they could be dancing in unison, synchronized and full of ... Hope!

Hope could either do a huge leap off to help someone else, or remain on stage. Depends if you have a big jumper in the group!
