I can't seem to get good leg balance. Will stronger legs help? I can't even hold a scorpion. What do you suggest? I do ballet twice a week.

As for the scorpion - GO. SLOW. Square your hips to the front, make sure your standing foot is evenly on the ground, slowly bring your foot up so you can grab it, and slowly extend it. No jerky moves, everything goes smooth and slow.

And that goes for everything - like for myself, if I go on releve quickly, I fall out of it, just as fast as I went up. If I do it very smooth and slow, I can stay considerably longer.

As for not being able to balance, provided that there's no medical reason that you can't (do you have balance issues always, or pretty much just when trying to do dance moves?), you need to work on strengthening your core. I heartily recommend Jillian Michaels 6 Week 6 Pack exercise DVD (I posted about my experience with it), but I believe some pilates will work as well.
