I just got this done last night and I'm in love with it! I'm finally eighteen and I've wanted to get this done for forever so I'm sooo happy. I couldn't rotate the picture for some reason so it's sideways, but it's on the inside of my wrist. Just had to share! 8 Replies to my new tattoo! |

Ok, I'm not a huge fan of tattoo's (just personal preference) but I've always thought that if I ever got one it would be a triskel. Yours looks amazing! Exactly what I would want. Very nice. And like the above poster said, make sure you take proper care of it while you're healing. |

I am not a fan of tattoos, so I'm a bit surprised to find that I think yours really is nice. I don't want to start a debate on this topic, but remind you and others that tattoos visible on the arms and especially below the cuffs will eliminate you from consideration from certain jobs. The US Coast Guard, many law enforcement organizations, the "big 4" accounting firms and many banks are just some of the groups that won't allow visible tattoos on their employees. A friend of mine in international finance just rejected a job applicant because that person had a "barbed wire" tatto ring around her finger. Was that fair or right is a good topic for discussion. That the applicant didn't get the job isn't debatable; she was rejected.
As an adult, you have every right to express yourself, but it is important to make an informed decision regarding your choice of expression. This is especially true when the form of expression is permanent.
I still like your tattoo very much. |

thanks guys!
@Realtreble I had the same debate with my dad, but I'm going into creative writing and photography as a career so I don't think it will be a problem |

Coast Guard actually allows tattoos no further down the arm than below the wrist. You can have a ring tattoo on each hand (just one) as long as it's not on the thumb, no thicker than 1/4 of an inch, and not offensive in nature.

But I definitely agree with your overall point. I always just kind of knew I'd have visible tattoos and I'd work my career around that. I have and it's worked for me but it can definitely be hard to get a job - even a minimum wage job - with visible tattoos.
That being said, sounds like the OP is really happy with her choice. I like the tattoo a lot, it's really simple and pretty and I hope it heals and ages well |

That's crazy! I am planning on getting the exact same tattoo in the same place. It's nice to see what it will look like. |
