If a kid getting a pencil makes the classroom a better place for my child to learn, then I am all for pencils everywhere!

In my school district, I had several classes (from a very young age up through high school) with a kid who had some sort of developmental delays/learning disability/complications from some disorder and he always had an adult with him who was basically like his assistant in the classroom. It has been so long that I can't remember what all was involved in his/her role. I see that as totally being an analogy to these pencils....thats what the kid needed in order to learn...I was lucky that I was able to understand everything no the first go around, but not everyone is!
