A request about rules for costumes for sale (karma: 1)  en>fr fr>en

Could we please make a rule that when posting a costume, you must list the price and some sort of measurement/age indication in the title of the post? I'm thinking specifically of the Irish dance board, but this probably could apply to all. I am looking for a dress and keep clicking on dresses that are either way out of my price range or completely the wrong size. If this information were given in the title, it would be very helpful. I'm sure other members would appreciate this as well.

Or if they put a price and approximate age group:

"under 5 £300 ono"

Right, that's exactly what I mean. I would know not to check that dress, because I am much older than 5 lol. Or you could list one or two measurements such as bust and waist. Or "approx. US size adult 4." Just some kind of indication of the size of the dress would be so helpful for members who are looking for a costume.

I agree. A title such as "6 Month Old Gavin Dress for Dancer 15 and Over" or "One Year Old Elevation, 34-inch bust" would help immensely. This would be so much better than cluttering up a listing with useless words like "stunning". I can decide for myself when viewing the photos whether it is stunning or not, and don't need to be told, but I do need measurements, price, age and location.

That is the rule already, if you see adverts without this information please Mod report them to us and we'll remove them, we really don't have time to trawl through all of the for sale forums each day to check them out ourselves.

Two days later and still no Mod reports, it can't be that much of a problem then.

This also drives me nuts, and I know it bothers many other people who read the ID board. I will send the thread to a mod if I see something like that, since it's okay for us to report them.

That's what the MOD button is for, it's not for ignoring!

It appears there has been a small misunderstanding here, the rule is that the measurements are in the post, if they put all of that information in the title it wouldn't all show anyway.

So just to recap, if you see a post with no measurements in the post, please Mod report it.

I'm not asking for full measurements in the title. Just some sort of indication of age or size, as already explained above by a few different members. It is difficult to tell from pictures whether a dress is for a child, teen, or adult.

For example, if a post was labelled as fitting an 8 year old, I know not to click on it because it is way too small. Or if a dress is labelled as $1000, I know not to click on it because it is far above my price range.

So starting the title of your post with something like "$700 US, fits age 16+" does not take up much space at all and still leaves plenty of space to describe the dress.
