I have been working on Show me how to Burlesque ALL day!~ I can not get it to sound right but I know it is possible! Does anyone have a copy of the song cut they could send me? I would really appreciated it and love to return the favor! PLEASE!!

What parts are you wanting edited out? Just the "A" word? 'Cause the lyrics throughout the whole thing are pretty risque. Have you thought of using a different song? There's a recent thread with suggestions for other burlesque-style songs.

Thank you for your reply. I know the song is a little sexy but all the girls are over 18 so I think it will be ok. Yes I am looking to cut out the A word. The problem is they say it like 10 times!!

I tried to use it last year for my 17 year olds. I tried everything to cover the "ass" lyric up. It just never sounded right. I ended up changing the song.

I played with it a little. I think your best bet is to get rid of the line "So get your a** up" and replace it with "Show me how you burlesque." So when you listen to the song, it will go:

"Hit it up, get it up, won’t let you rest
Hit it up, get it up, this is not a test
Hit it up, get it up, gotta give me your best
Show me how you burlesque, show me how you burlesque."

It might be easier than trying to bleep the word.

Not sure if this solution will work, but sometimes when I need to edit out a word I highlight the section I don't want and reverse it, it usually works for quick edits, but if they word is too long or sang too long it doesn't always work. Good luck!

It's not about who is dancing, but WHO is watching? If you have people under 16 watching, I would not do it. If it is just for adults, that's fine.
