I have to write an essay analyzing themes in Frankenstein, and I have to cite other essays about Frankenstein. I know they're out there, but I'm having a hard time finding legit essays analyzing it. I've googled it, and I get websites like 'school sucks.com' or '123helpme' and the problem is I don't really want to cite those websites in my paper + those websites don't even list an author or anything anyway. If anyone knows of any essays from colleges, or anything else that looks more legit, I'd really appreciate the help...thanks!

Do you have access through your school to search academic search engines like "Academic Search Complete" or "JStor"? You're right, google does not produce academic sources, and most Universities and a good majority of high schools (I think) get access to the academic search engines for that reason.

I just ran a search on Academic Search Complete and copied these titles from Academic journals over for you:

Education as a Pharmakon in Mary Shelley's FRANKENSTEIN.Full Text Available

Teaching the Monster: Frankenstein and Critical Thinking.

Addiction and Isolation in Frankenstein: A Case of Terminal Uniqueness.

The Devaluing of Life in Shelley's FRANKENSTEIN.

Technology and Impotence in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.

Frankenstein as a figure of globalization in Canada's postcolonial popular culture.

Yes absolutely use the academic searches available to you! In addition to that, the copy of Frankenstein I used in school (A Norton Critical edition) had several critical essays in the back of it. Maybe you can find a copy of that edition if you need more references.
