What are some variations that have a white tutu with their costume? (A platter tutu) Like Swan Lake or Grand Pas Classique.

Any others would be awesome!

I'm doing a talent show and I need a variation to learn and I have a white tutu that I want to wear. :D Thanks!

There is the White Swan Variation from Swan Lake; Aurora's Wedding Variation from Sleeping Beauty: There is the Dying Swan Variation.
That's all I could think of for now...

Dying Swan
all variations from second and forth act of Swan Lake
Grand Pas Classique
Sleeping Beauty, wedding
Don Quixote, wedding
Coppelia, wedding
sometimes this colour also used in some Le Corsaire scenes
Diamonds (Balanchine)
Ballet Imperial (Balanchine)
Etudes

Actually many variations CAN use a white tutu, but they don´t have to. Many of those I mentioned, like Corsaire and all wedding variations for example, are not always in white tutus.

La Fille Mal Gardee can be done on a white tutu base.

Bayaderka

Raymonda

Paquita

Just decorate the white tutu you have to fit the piece -- then it can be used for most variations (obviously not Odile, Nikiya, Giselle, etc.)

Any of the Shades variations from La Baydere.

Odette, obviously.

The Dying Swan.

I could see the Odalisques from Le Corsaire done in white.

The White Cat from Sleeping Beauty.

That's all I can think of.

Ballet blanc was an idiom of the high classical period. Just about every ballet from that period has a scene with white tutus. Including the Nutcracker.

- (If you don't mind sneaking in some light pink somehow) The Woodland Glade Fairy from Sleeping Beauty

i'm going to throw a spanner in the works by suggesting that (assuming its a plain tutu) you could make a "top layer" for it out of coloured tulle or something semi see through you could even have a selection if you wanted to reuse the same tutu for a number of different variations traditionally in a number of different colours.

:)
