Mommy & Me Class ideas en>fr fr>en

I'm teaching a Mommy & Me (2/3 year olds) class for my first time so I'm just getting accustomed to teaching AND having the parents there. I'd love to get some more ideas to make my class better. Right now, this is the basic structure.
First, stretches in a circle and introduction for about 5 minutes.
Second, I'll have them stand up and do a few direction songs such as Wheels on the Bus, or Head & Shoulders.
Then I try to go across the floor doing things parents and children can do together such as gallop or march.
I'll go back into a circle and hold hands and skip in it, maybe go over a few ballet moves but then they usually start to get bored, especially the VERY young ones. The older seem to like it.
I'll do another 1 or 2 direction songs such as Do the Monkey or Hokey Pokey.
Sometimes I'll add freeze dance, then usually end with the mats and balance beam.
If anyone could give any ideas i'd appreciate it. It's a 45 minute class!

go to a dollar store and invest in some props (stuffed animals, scarves, pompoms, hula hoops, bean bags, maracas). incorporating these into your dance routines & across the floors makes them so much more fun! some other across the floors- high kicks with mom, tippy toe walks, bunny hops through hula hoops, ballerina walks balancing the bean bag on your head (for good posture), jazz walks (hands on waist and twist side to side).
