Latin Ballroom Dance Instructor
Los Angeles, CA, United States
Deadline: Sat Jun 30, 2012
Available Date: Monday-Friday
Keith began dancing at the age of 9 years old. He first started dancing in the
style of West Coast Swing under the guidance of the current World Champions at that time. After a year of training and a hand full of competitions he developed an interest in Ballroom dance. Almost immediately his interests grew and at his young age, Keith felt the desire to succeed and very quickly learned about the vast level of dedication needed to gain the knowledge that came along with this exciting and competitive Latin and Ballroom world.
Once he began training under World Latin American Champions Riccardo Cocchi
and Yulia Zagorouchenko, he was exposed to a level of professionalism like no other and decided to broaden his repertoire in other styles of dance, such as Ballet, Tap, Hip-Hop, Brazilian Forro and samba as well as various other styles of couples dancing.
Keithʼs ability and vision for choreography spans across multiple genres and styles
of dance enabling him to create show pieces or routines to suit any competitive partnership, to a full musical stage review.
In 2007 Keith was asked to choreograph the dances for My SuperSweet Sixteen,
as well as being dancer on the show. In 2011 Keith was invited as the assistant choreographer and a featured dancer in the opening number for the
Miss. California Beauty Pageant.
Keith currently works as an independent instructor, teaching at various studios throughout Los Angeles. He currently competes nationally and internationally in the Professional Latin-American division of Ballroom Dance. He is training under Johan Eftedal.
