So as we learned in my last thread on this forum, I was diagnosed with underactive thyroid. My doctor told me she was going to get me in to the endocrine surgeon, come get some more blood drawn, we'll talk.

A full week has gone by. I've not heard about results of the blood test (and before anyone say that's too soon, they had the results of my last blood test by the next business day. I took the test Friday at noon, Monday at 9:30 they were on the phone with me), I've not heard anything about meeting with the endocrine guy, and I've not heard anything about starting medication.

So I called today and basically went, "Ok, can somebody ask the doctor what we're supposed to do now? Because she basically went "Ok, you've got X", and I've never heard another word about it..."

She wanted to send me to the surgeon because I complained of feeling like my throat was closing, and of being winded when I shouldn't be, and all that. But I think going on medication would resolve some of that by itself, wouldn't it?!

And I can't just call the endocrine guy and get an appointment by myself, it's all gotta be in writing to keep the insurance company happy. :/

Well that worked. I've got an appointment with the endocrine surgeon next Tuesday. And now I have to get someone to take James home from school!

Glad you got your appointment, now perhaps things will start moving forwards for you.
