I'm lookng for a list of moves and steps for character and national.
I know there's cifra, holubetz, pas de basque etc, but I'm not sure of the names of alot of moves so any move names used in character and national dances would be great help,
Thanks

When it comes to dances (not just steps) there's Mazurka and Czardas in addition to Polka. I have a video with these dances; so this weekend will play it and try to write down the specific steps within them.

Are you talking about the RAD syllabus character steps?

I can see that the names you're using are from the RAD grade syllabus. If this is so what grade do you want to know the names of the steps for?

Thanks for all help.
If anyone has a list of typical character/national dances such as muzurka, jig, hornpipe etc. That could help too.
I know the steps and dances that are included in the RAD syllabus. But there are so many more steps that you will see in ballets. I'm trying to get together a really good character class structure including barre and centre floor work. I've got alot of enchainments and combinations for classes but I don't know the names of steps that arent on the RAD syllabus.
Thanks

Actually can anybody recommend a good character DVD. I'm looking for one that covers steps and work suitable for all levels. I've seen the Vaganova character one but this is alot of high level stuff.
