You look like such a princess! And I mean that in a good way! I never realized your eyes were so blue - how pretty! Your colors are so very fall-appropriate! I love love love the Bellagio fountains - so glad you got a pic with them in the background! I love how you're posed too, like, "Yep, that's my gorgeous ring, suckers!"

I shall upload them directly then...here are a few of my stroll down the steps. Pls ignore the expression of terror on my face! It was a tough morning. I was ok when I was with people, but the second I was alone I was a quivering mess, dry retching, the works. Tim stayed with me until the girls arrived in the room at about 11am, during which time we rang a few people back home. My dad amused us greatly with his tale of getting locked in his porch between two doors and without his mobile - luckily he keeps his tools in the porch so he was able to chisel off some of the glass and let himself back into the house!

I felt relatively calm at one point, sitting on the floor painting my toenails when the thought "it's actually finally my wedding day" popped into my head and I grinned for a long while.

Down in the salon I was nervous again - hair first with Bostonian Pam who wasn't massively talkative but did an amazing job on me. I'd forgotten to take my veil down with me but she said I could pop it in...when I got back to the room I was too afraid to move my head let alone abuse it so I chose not to wear it. The next day it took me 30 minutes to take the pins out and over an hour to wash out all the backcombing and hairspray...very Rocky Horror.

Then it was over to make-up artist Stephen who is the (second) best man in the entire world - calmed me down a treat. "Aw honey!" "Don't worry, I know exactly what to do". What a legend.

We had a classy feast of fries, coke and champagne in the room then before I knew it, it was time to get ready and I had the shakes big time.

We all squeezed into the lift and at the bottom, sister Becky (the little one in subsequent photos) was employed to run to the main hall to check there were no guests/grooms milling about. This covert reconnaissance continued throughout the casino with us singing the Mission Impossible theme tune. I got many a congratulations along the way, including a full-on WOW and a creeper asking if he could kiss the bride. Er, no.

Now around the lifts it was straightforward enough to check the coast was clear, but of course in the casino you can be approached from every angle. I rounded the corner by the sports book and saw an orange tie! My mom ran towards him flapping her hands and telling him to shut his eyes while I span round, ran, nearly stacked it, and hid behind a slot machine much to the confusion of the bloke losing dollars and dollars on said machine.

Once Tim was shuttled back to the terrance we made our way to the alcove to wait our cue and I started wobbling, and a brave bridesmaid stepped up to the plate and asked if I needed her to do me a silly dance, to which I obviously replied yes and the silly dance was duly completed before the photographer could capture it.

As the girls walked down the steps one by one my mom started singing These Are a Few Of My Favourite Things to me which caused a further wobble, and (I later realised) a partial reddening and partial colour-draining of my skin leaving me with a pleasing raspberry ripple effect on my back and arms. Whoop! But I made it down without crying or falling so go me!

Also, I'm actually legally married to the best man, Matt. I can't remember exactly what the Rev said but after the kiss he said something akin to "A round of applause for Louise and Max Stanley" - Max because no American can understand Tim's accent and he got confused when first told Matt's name. So I'm actually Mrs Matt?!

Your sister looks so much like you! I LOVE the way the light is hitting your dress in the picture of the two of you kissing.

EDIT: Sorry, you have a bunch of pics of the two of you kissing. I meant the third pic, two posts up. Also, just noticed that your sister appears to be doing the movie star pose where you put one leg in front of the other in almost all of the pics with her in them.

Shoes inspired by our own Euphoria...at her wedding last year she had beautiful blue shoes and I was absolutely determined to shamelessly rip her off. Took me until the very day of my first alterations fitting to actually find some that I was happy with...who knew nobody makes orange shoes? Found them on Amazon, haha.

Last few (150-odd on Facebook), including my second of two concessions to all the cheesy poses the photographer was trying to insist on, plus a kiss and a high-five from our niece Rose who was very taken with Fi#s bouquet!

Oh man, I love everything! The colors, your dress (and those bridesmaids' dresses!), the location...you two look so fantastic and happy together. It all just looks so grand and princess-y, in the best way.
