I changed my email address recently to the new married name. Set it up on Hotmail OK and I'm getting the emails I should be getting.

When I went to change my email address on Facebook, it told me someone else was using my new email address (?) and that I had to "claim" it as mine. So I went through all their steps, got the confirmation email etc. All fine.

However, over the last couple of days I've been inundated with someone else's Facebook notifications. Like, hundreds. I've unsubscribed from them so now they go straight into my junk folder, but I'm really concerned because I shouldn't be seeing this information. I'm not reading any of them but it could be really personal stuff and I don't want it in my inbox.

I assume somebody else created the same email address as me but it's now expired or something? You have to sign into Hotmail once every 270 days at least otherwise they deactivate your account. Would they release an address to be used again?

All of the emails from Facebook are from no-reply addresses and there's no contact information on there to be able to notify them of this. Anything I can do?

That's weird. For while, my mum would sign on to Facebook and get my account. Obviously my mum doesn't really know how to work Facebook so it didn't really matter, but it would have been bad if that had happened in an internet cafe or something.

Might sound obvious, but have you tried signing out and back in again, changing your password etc? I just had a look for contact info, because I'm sure I've used it before, but I can't find it either.
