Work/Employment Time Sensitive - Reference List Question en>fr fr>en By Brittany Comments: 14915, member since Thu Aug 22, 2002On Fri Nov 11, 2011 08:59 AM
I'm applying to a job tonight. No slacking or waiting around because I really want this one to happen. So I've got my three references that I'm putting in however I'm in a bit of a conundrum.
One of my references is not working right now. She was the Marketing Director at the place where I have interned and was essentially my boss and was in charge of me. She recently left the organization and went and traveled with her husband for a few months and is now in the way beginning stages of starting her own business.
So how do I include that on my list? I don't want it to make it look like she got fired from my organization or something because she's amazing and is a great reference for me to have but I just don't know what to put for her occupation...
Help? Please? Thanks a million! 2 Replies to Time Sensitive - Reference List Question |

Could you possibly list "other" and then she/you would be able to explain? |

If she is starting her own business, put 'entrepreneur' or small business owner. Also list her old occupation preceded by 'former'
Good luck on the job!
