Anyone know of any brilliant covers of Coldplay's "Fix You"? I want to do a piece to it, but I'd prefer a female singing (so it would be more relatable, me being a female). Help me out, friends. This song brings me to tears every time I hear it.

Try Orla Fallon.

I just did a search for Fix You in iTunes and that was the second female singer version I found. The first was very... classical in style and I didn't think it'd be what you were looking for.

If you hadn't asked though, I'd never have discovered Orla Fallon. She sounds interesting.

You can always use Zamzar.com to convert a Youtube video into an mp3 if you find an amateur version of the song that's not available anywhere else. I would just send the user a message and ask their permission first. I would almost bet money that if you asked someone on Youtube, they might even send you a legit mp3 to use.

I know you said female, however Javier Colon does a beautiful job covering this song!

Check out The Bus Kings. They do a beautiful cover of it, and there is a female vocalist.
