...please and thank you.

I am in another Facebook contest, this time for December pin-up of the month for a company called Dressed to Kill Clothing. Last month they only had 4 girls enter so I figured I would take a chance, but of course this month there were 12! Haha, oh well.

I have started a fan page on Facebook for my pin-up work www.facebook.com . . . and thought that I might stand a chance having 90+ fans, plus my Facebook friends. Of course, that hasn't happened. Oy.

The current leader didn't even submit a "pin-up" picture, it's really cute and a great picture, but not representative of the the brand, you know?

One cool thing about this contest is that many people have been able to vote without "friending" the page! They just click on the link and click "like" on the photo. A few people still had to friend the page, but I think they plan on unfriending it when the contest ends.

I could really use some help from my fellow DDNers. Winning this would be great to have under my belt, it would go great with the holiday track I am going to record, making it a big month for Miss Melody. It's also my birthday on the 5th so it would be like an early birthday present.

The contest ends in 6 days, so there is plenty of time to vote. And if you think any of your friends would be interested in voting, feel free to share the link!

I tried to vote - I don't mind liking the page at all but I think I need to friend the company before it will let me like. So I'm waiting for them to accept me (and I get another 'friend' closer to 400, BOOM) - hopefully they do it before the deadline! Good luck!

I was able to 'like' the picture without friending for some reason. Maybe it's because we're friends on FB and you're tagged? In any case, I friended them anyway because I like their style.

Yeah, I have been wondering about that whole friends thing. I just can't get a handle on it. I had friends that had to friend the page and some that didn't. I like their stuff, too. Been following them for a while. They are also a fan of my page. Networking, networking, networking!

Wow only like 5 of those actually look like pin-ups. Does the contest have any rules or definitions of pin-up? And I think that if your friends with you and/or a fan of Miss Melody already you can just like the pic without liking the page or friending anyone.

Nope, no rules or anything. Thing is, I looked at the profile of the girl winning and she actually did a pin-up shoot with a known photographer! I mean, like I said, I like her picture, but if I am going to lose, it would be nice to lose to a pin-up. It's hard when I compete against people with fans and a following. Their friends have also been posting links and they must have lots of friends, too.

I sent out my first update newsletter to my fans today and got a few more votes, but am still having a hard time rallying everyone around me.

While I may lose this contest, Miss Melody has some awesome things coming in the next couple of months that will make me forget all about it. (But I still want to win, lol)
