Most everything that's played on TLC or Discovery is banned in our house. We do enjoy Mythbusters, that's pretty much the only program we watch on Discovery. I remember when TLC and Discovery were cool. TLC used to have a lot of medical shows on, but now it's been turned into the "people with too many kids and the crazy moms who are living through their kids" channel. So, we just avoid those channels. I absolutely LOVED "Trauma: Life in the ER", then they axed Discovery Health.

We absolutely LOVE Monster-in-Laws and hoarders. We tape every new episode. We enjoy monster-in-laws because it makes each of our families look like saints. Although.....after their behavior at our wedding, that might change.......

Hmm.. Mine would have to be:

I can't stand shows like Laguna Beach(I know it's not on anymore), Real World, Housewives, Jersey Shore I think it's just trashy. I dont like all the singing reality shows, too many of them, just gets boring.

Oh! I forgot about beyond scared straight. In addition to a night in jail, the kids need a good beating from their parents. It's a good show, a trip to the jail should be mandatory for kids 13+ every year.

Why do I watch it? I guess it's an escape from reality. Funny considering it's called "reality tv" but it's not my reality, and with the exception of DWTS and some episodes of SYTTD, it really is like watching a train crash...you just can't look away!

I don't know why but i love to watch reality programmes, from dancing singing to house hunting and emigrating families. They just don't sugar coat issues but give you a true concept of the subject.

I watch too much reality TV because my mum does.

Toddlers and Tiara (kinda like watching a trainwreck but not being able to look away)

Since I've been staying at home a lot more than I used to, I've been sucked into some ridiculous shows lately! Yesterday a True Life marathon was on so I watched that for about 3 hours. It was actually really interesting. (By the way I heard there was a True Life: I'm a Marine Wife episode but I couldn't find it online anywhere.)

I've also been watching reruns of Teen Mom 2/Teen Mom and 16 and Pregnant. Those shows are soooo scripted and half the time I just sit there with my jaw on the ground like, "Are you serious?!"

My husband calls me "reality TV whore". He means it the nicest way possible! Lol. I'm kind of obsessed! I watch (in no particular order)

Dance moms
Toddlers and tiaras
Jersey shore
Kardashians (ouch that was hard to admit)
Hells kitchen
Survivor
American idol
sYTYCD
Big brother

I'm sure Im leaving some out but those are my guilty pleasures... And yes I'm completely aware that there is not much "reality" going on but at the end of the day when I finally get to watch my TV, I just want to watch mindless entertainment

I mostly watch UK things like:
- Got To Dance
- Strictly Come Dancing
- Britain's Got Talent
- The Choir

But I do like some US shows and I have seen every episode of Toddlers & Tiaras and Dance Moms

LOL... we at Dancelines watch all dance related programmes.... any music based programmes... then cooking programmes.... probably far too may reality shows than is healthy!!

Not really a big reality TV fan as I feel in general that it has been done to death and the more series' things last the more I detest it, particularly the music based ones - just because the lack of variety and lack of genres they represent bugs me.

That being said, the few I do enjoy are;

America's Next Top Model
Popstar To Opera Star (I don't care about the contestants on it, I just watch it for Rolando Villazon. He has a wonderful personality and I watch it in the hope that he will sing - which he does often)

My mom occasionally has Got To Dance and SYTYCD on. But apart from that we're not big reality tv people.

Survivor, Amazing Race, SYTYCD and Expedition Impossible.

I have to tivo survivor, because I often have to fast forward the drama llama portions.

Amazing Race is the one reality show I'd try to get on.

I find that reality tv a lot of times just helps me relax since there's not much of a plotline to it. I can just sit mindlessly in front of the tv when I'm exhausted from work!
That being said... I watch Dance Moms, Keeping up with the kardashians (or whatever spin off is on), and Jersey Shore.
