Costumes a crazy idea that just might work en>fr fr>en By magdalene Comments: 341, member since Fri Apr 27, 2007On Mon Dec 05, 2011 08:47 PM
I do alot of crossover dance styles, and when I'm on a questionable dance floor (In an audition or in a theatre show), I often feel more confident with a rubber soled jazz shoe. I definitely turn better in jazz shoes, even with the extra traction (maybe I feel more stable?)
I've been hunting for a rubber soled ballet shoe for the longest time, but no one seems to make them anymore. I strongly prefer ballet shoes for aesthetic reasons over jazz shoes.
So, on to my idea. Since I can't find rubber soled ballet shoes, perhaps I can convert some ballets. I found these on the sansha website www.dancex.com . . .. (If they adhere to the suede jazz shoes, they should adhere to a suede ballet sole) They are an odd shape, though. Can anyone think of a ballet shoe that they would match up to (just the forefoot, the heel doesn't matter to me) I thought maybe the Bloch proarch, but I've never worn that shoe so I'm just going off of the pics on Discount dance. 1 Replies to a crazy idea that just might work |

Rather than trying to find shoes to match that shape, would you be able to cut these to the right shape? You could probably even find something like this in a regular store. It would be with shoe polish and things like that. |
