People with MacBooks and/or experience with Apple computers. I am having a problem with my mouse pointer lately. It's driving me insane. Sometimes, the pointer itself will not respond to my fingers on the scroll pad at all. Sometimes, my mouse goes completely berserk on the screen and races around, clicking on random things, opening files and programs, etc. It almost looks as if someone has hacked into my system and is controlling the mouse. I've already changed all my WiFi passwords and re-checked my firewall and security settings, so I'm at least 99% sure that it isn't ACTUALLY someone hacking me.

This is just very weird and frustrating. Usually, I can get the mouse to cooperate if I just shut the screen and re-open it again. I don't lose any data this way, but it's annoying. I've made sure the area is clean, my fingers are free of excess oil or dirt, etc. And I'm stumped! Any thoughts?
