I'm going to an audition on Sunday and it's going to include contemporary and hip-hop. I have no idea what to wear.

I don't know if I should dress more for one part of it or the other.

Also, there is an acting part to the audition. Would it be better to have a monologue prepared or to do a cold read? The info thing said either one is fine.

There is no way to really know what you should wear without knowing about who/what you are auditioning for. Can't you just wear tights, leo, booty shorts and then wear pants and a tank top over that, and shed layers as necessary?

Yeah, layers is probably the best option. I might bring some basketball shorts too.

As for the part? I have no idea what it is. Its a dance show. An hour and a half long show. One continuous story. I think its about mental illness. I don't know how much speaking there will be in the actual show. The audition is for the two leads. One male and one female. I probably won't get it. I'm just going to network and have fun.
