Sometimes, when I'm on pointe, i get really really bad cramps in my arches. i have 'banana' feet, and they are really strong. Does that have anything to do with the cramps? and how can i stop the cramping fast? LIke if I'm in an audition, how can i ease the cramp without taking my pointe shoe off and massaging it?

EAT BANANAS. They help :) Sometimes just walking around relaxes your foot and makes the cramp go away. And remember that your foot isn't going to relax unless YOU relax, so if you're at an audition, don't freak out...it won't help your foot.

Hope this helped a bit :)

Welcome to the club, I know that feeling, en pointe or not, if I point my foot "the wrong way" (i.e. sickled or winged, especially when done inadvertently) or try too hard to get it just so, I get a cramp. I find that flexing the foot and trying again, concentrating on not overdoing things and keeping a nice straight line usually helps.

Apart from Bananas, Pineapples are a good source for magnesium too, which helps against muscle cramps.
