Best brand of hairdye for going darker?

Ive dyed my hair before, both at a salon and from a box. Ive always gone a little lighter, but I think I want to go darker. Not to a black, but a dark dark brown (chocolate maybe?)

Right now,my hair is at a light brown, like the C-5 in the picture. I want to go between C-2 and C-2-1. What would be a good brand to go darker?

I used to be really partial to Garnier Nutrisse. I've gone darker and lighter, and that brand has always done really well. I used to do a lot of dark reds and dark browns in this brand. Like this one: www.meijer.com . . .

I now use Revlon Colorsilk (the cheapy cheap!) because they have a color I really love on my hair. Despite being the cheapest brand, my hair's never looked so good. I personally use this one in that brand: pics.drugstore.com . . .
