Teachers - Costumes Basic nude crop top and shorts at low cost en>fr fr>en By DeStijl Comments: 6422, member since Sat Jul 17, 2004On Thu Dec 22, 2011 05:20 AM
Hi All,
I hope you don't mind me posting here. I do teach recreational classes, but I am also currently the costume designer for a professional dance production and thought this would be the best place to pick some brains about seomthing I need for that.
I am after a really basic crop top/sports bra and pair of booty shorts for the lowest price I can find them. Adult sizes, and in beige/natural skin tone.
I want the crop top to have thinner straps. Similar to the pictures I've included.
I have found several options online, but I know that everyone has their secret goldmine for dancewear on the internet, and I am on SUCH a tight budget I want to make sure I get the lowest price possible. If you know of anywhere that supplies these garments super cheap (must do OS postage cause I'm in Australia), I'd love to hear about it - as well as about the qaulity of the garments, turn around time on postage etc.
Thanks in advance. 5 Replies to Basic nude crop top and shorts at low cost |

I know you have looked online, but have you tried the cheapy chainstores here in Oz? I have seen crop tops like that first one in K Mart and Best and Less, and ones like the second in Cotton On (they ran really large, I wear a 10C bra and the XS was WAY too big). Definitly cheaper than Bloch, the quality is obviously less, but I have been wearing my K Mart sports bras for a couple of years now. |

Jockey makes almost identical crop tops in nude. They're not too expensive, and you can get them from big w. I can't find a link, but it looks exactly like the top of this, but a crop top. www.jockeyaustralia.com.au . . . |

I forgot to mention, the show involves aerial silk work and a lot of friction. I had a look a big W but wasn't really sure they'd stand up to the friction and wear every night. I was also kind of worried that she would pop out. She isn't large chested by any means (A cup at a stretch), but she does get into some creative positions and I worry about the elastic not being too great, and the top riding up.
I know I am kind of asking for the impossible wanting something cheap with Bloch style quality |

Have you tried Liberts? We order a lot of basics from them for our older students (who take lots of classes). They're usually inexpensive, and the shipping is always fast. We once ordered an entire class of costumes for a show we were asked to do at the last minute. The costumes arrived about 5 days after we ordered them.

My KMart crop I have been wearing to Pole without a problem, I know silks/tissu is somewhat different, but I haven't had any riding issues with it (and it is a couple of years old). Anyway just a thought/recomendation on quality |
