Received our company costumes from AWCT, but 3 of them don't fit. Called to exchange them & was told that I can't exchange the XLG sizes - what's up with this? The XLG costumes don't fit the measurement charts - needed room in the girth, not a longer skirt! When I order for my recital next week, AWCT probably won't be a consideration.

That surprises me. We don't order a lot from AWCT (most other companies are less expensive), but we ordered the costume I posted last year for our advanced ballet class, and it actually ran a little big.

Yes, that's the same problem we have - the XLG child costumes are too big - we can adjust to make the leotard fit, but the skirt is was too long. These girls are rounder thru their torso, but not taller. Don't understand why the skirts are longer & why they won't exchange them. Lack of customer service is my concern.

Uh oh, I ordered the costume that you showed. I really hope that's not the case for all of the sizes and that they fit to their size chart.

Our problem with AWCT costumes this year, is that they are coming in unfinished. One girl put on her solo costume and the seem going down the middle of the bust was not finished. We sent it back and the next costume that they sent that was the same size, didn't fit her. Had to send it back again for a larger size and we will adjust what we need ourselves. Too much aggravation!!

What is it with costume companies?!! AWCT was ALWAYS great!! Now it's slacking?

This happens, so many times, with good companies who suddenly go bad. I wish that I could help you, but be on their backs. Tell them you want to return the entire class of costumes for full refund and will no longer order from them if they cannot accommodate.

I had this problem with Costume Depot (from Florida) when they first opened. Their costumes did not match their size charts. Oh, we checked!! The fought with me and I did not give up.

I finally got new costumes sent and they told me to keep the old ones. A child medium, on one costume, fit a 2 year old, but they SWORE that I was wrong, or tried to say that I ordered the wrong size.

oh, no! I ordered this costume for a class of 11. All of them are med. or large child, but I had to order 1 XLC, as this child has a tummy and is long in the girth. Now I am worried

We had a local seamstress adjust the XLC costumes by taking them up in the waist which made the skirt ride higher and they looked great this weekend. Hopefully you have someone in your area if you need them.
