So, my mum is completely crazy.

Her tattoos consist of, a 'camel toe', a moustache, a 'shhh', a name and several pictures on her toes, and then her back piece.

The tattoos on her toes actually fade out, due to how often your feet are used, hence why she has them done several times.

Haha! Camel toe! I love the butterflies! I'm a huge fan of butterflies. I have two on my back and will post pictures when I can. I would hate to save the same tattoo done in the same spot over and over again. But that is just me. I love the randomness of the different tattoos!

It's so funny, bless her! So young at heart isn't she, wouldn't think shes 37!

ooo I can't wait to see! I have birds on me, but my mum has a few butterflies! She has the ones on her back, one on her foot, her hand, and then something on the bottom of her back :)

So, um, why is the camel toe in the first one right side up, and in the last one, it's upside down? "Touching up" doesn't mean "virtually getting a new tattoo", does it? And man, most tattoo artists would hesitate to do feet anyway, she got an artist that was willing to tattoo a minimum of six of her toes, on the bottom, a spot that's got to be virtually impossible to heal. Dude's brave!

And the tail and the legs...and it's a completely different tattoo, does your mum have three legs?

Because I assume the other tat's are on the right foot and both of those completely different camels are both on left big toes...

^ It can't be on the other toe, because she has her name on it.

I don't know much about tats, but how do they get rid of the "lower" level hump to make the new big hump?

Both camels are on a left toe, but they are both different ways up...look at them. One faces to the left and one faces to the right, not just that but the first one is hump to the distal end of the toe and the other isn't.

Ergo they are different camel toes.

They ARE different camels. Like I said, THEY FADE OFF. Therefore, she had it done ALL again.
Because it is UNDER your toe, they fade away, due to the amount that your feet are used. It actually faded COMPLETELY off of my mums toe. She had it done again, and got it different.

Wow, funny how many people don't believe you and are quick to judge, huh..

^And you getting snotty about it actually makes me LESS likely to believe you (which I don't...) not MORE. So, uh, wise choice?

Yeah, your mom has more time and money than she has sense, I guess. I'm not sure.

I just went and looked up healing time for a tat on the bottom of the foot, and this guy;

www.everytattoo.com . . .

(I'm referring to the second poster in the thread I linked, "Freddie", who seems to be a professional tattoo artist)

Says that if you pick or rub off any of the lymph fluid before it's had a chance to heal itself, then you take all of the ink out of the skin with it.

So basically, you're asking us to believe that your mom is spending probably a minimum of $100 a month on tattoos for the bottoms of her toes, which aren't even lasting until she gets home to take pictures of them.

Either THAT, or your asking us to believe that your mom spends a minimum of $100 a month for tattoos, and spends the next 5 to 14 days after getting the tattoos done laying in bed, waiting for them to heal.

But if she has to get the tattoos redone every two weeks, and she's got to lay in bed for 14 days after she gets them done, then that's the entire month, which means that getting her camel toe redone is virtually the only time your mom gets out of bed at all.

Gee...I wonder why this all seems so fishy?!

^ Why would she get them done once every 2 weeks?

As someone who knows nothing about tattoos, is it possible that she got the first one done in her teens and it faded...then she got it retouched in her 40's? I'm not sure how a tattoo entirely fades, but is that possible....?

The bigger question is, why would anyone lie about a tattoo? That seems like a really stupid thing to lie about.

Nice to know that you're rude, and don't believe people.

Why the hell would I come on dance.net and LIE about my mums tattoos? Seems like a pretty sad thing for me to do tbh.

And no, she doesn't spend $100 a month on it.. She's not stupid you know..
She had it done, and they touched it up for free. When it completely faded, she paid to get it done again, yet she got it done the other way around. No, it doesn't fade before she gets home, what would the point of that be? I'm not an idiot, so stop speaking to me like one.

The minumum cost for a tattoo in their shop is £20. So she pays that for it, as it is so tiny.

Wow. Maybe you should ask before you go off on one.

Why is it that these days it seems like you have to submit paper proof of anything you post about before anyone believes you on DDN? Twinkletoes, your mom's tattoos are cute and clever and I never doubted you, because that seems like a REALLY stupid thing to lie about, especially on a thread on a board that is only medium-busy at best on this site.

One of my cousins has a little heart on her big toe that her tattoo artist did for her for free because she goes to him all the time and it was a slow day at the shop. He'd never do one on anyone he didn't have that sort of relationship with, and it's a cute little tattoo. I should tell her to get the camel toe, she would get a kick out of that!
