I just started adult beginner's ballet. I'm really excited. I am 21 and really had no clue that classes like this existed. I have only had two classes so far and am just trying to learn the "lingo". Maybe flash cards would work? I just wanted to say hi and if anyone has any advice on any part of ballet, it would be great. I never did ballet as a child. I'm also curious if there are any adults that started ballet late and were able to do a bit of pointe. I hope to maybe do a bit someday!

Hey there, I'm 21 too, but I don't do ballet, yet... I'm enrolled to start in 2012, and I'm 21 as well. I can't wait, I'm so excited! I know there are a lot of late starters on here who do dance on pointe. I hope you're enjoying your classes

I recommend watching FitBallet with Leigh's videos on Youtube. She goes over many exercises step by step that are extremely helpful. She's even a ballet teacher herself. www.youtube.com . . .
