Strained Tendon in my Arch!!! en>fr fr>en

~Okay so here is the deal. I have strained my Abductor Hallucis. 6 weeks ago i was doing some sort of tour en l'air, and landed in an extreme Plie on my left foot. I felt immediate pain in my arch, and could not put any pressure on the inside of my foot.

I went to a clinic that same day and the PA there told me I had Plantar Fasciitis, WRONG. Then the next day I went to an orthopedic and they told me I had some sort of strain and it would be better in a couple of weeks. Since Then I have been to a Podiatrist who took x-rays and MRIs and saw no visible tear in the muscle. I am now in a walking boot and going to physical therapy but my foot just isn't getting better!

I am normally not one to complain, but i don't know what else to do! Has anyone else suffered from this? Was there anything that helped you heal faster, how long did it take??

Ouch, sounds annoying. I strained a tendon in my arch, only it was an outer tendon, not an inner tendon. I wrapped my foot as a reminder to myself to be cautious and I felt it helped my foot remain more stable and stuff like that. I iced it and stuff too. I never did go to the doctor, but let me tell you, it took a good amount of time to finally heal. I still danced and everything, I was just more cautious and gentle. The best advice I could give you is to just give it time :)

P.S. Keep in mind that mine wasn't all that serious... If your foot is really hurting, then I would continue to go to the doctor and stay off of it as much as you can.

Hope this helped a bit!
