Alright so I've competed for 5 or 6 years now and finally think I have it down to an exact science LOL.

When you go to a competition most of us don't know what to bring (my studio doesn't give out a list). So here are things that may be required or optional but a few of these things I have found extremely helpful over the past competitions. Here I go.

WHAT I KEEP IN MY COMPETITION DANCE BAG

Important Things
• Water – Stay Hydrated
• Snacks – Give You Energy
• Extra Clothes – So You can change after or in between Dances
• Team Jacket – Requirement for most studios
• Flip Flops – To wear while you’re not dancing
• Caboodle – to keep hair/makeup items in
• Duffel Bag – To keep all of the other stuff in
• Garment Bag – To keep costumes in
• Accessory Box – to keep bobby pins, elastics and small accessories in

Under Garments
• Strapless Bra (clear straps) – so your bra doesn’t show
• Seamless Underwear – so you have no panty lines or a thong or NO panties at all
• Body Tight X2 – it’s tights that come up to your breasts and have clear straps on them. Why 2 so if one rips you have another
• White/Ballet Pink Tights X2 – so if you tear one pair you have a backup

• Sewing Kit – someone or me always rips their costume
• Nail Polish Remover – someone always forgets to take it off
• Clear Nail Polish – Oh no I have a run in my tights – use the polish at both ends to stop them from more runs
• Lint Roller – I always land up with pet air on something
• Static Guard – my costume keeps sticking to my legs – spray under the skirt or your legs with it
• Downy Wrinkle Release Spray – oh no I forgot to steam my costume – releases wrinkles in an instant

First Aid Kit
• Band-Aids – “Oh no I stepped on a piece of glass and am bleeding” – put a band-aid on it
