This is the first year we are going to be doing competitions and I am wondering... Should I have my male performers wear make-up on stage? I never have had them wear make-up for recitals or publicity performances, but is it something that's expected for competitions?

My comp guys wear make up, not a tin just enough for a little definition.

Tinted moisturizer
Dark Brown eyeliner
Blush
Bronzer
Lip balm

Use the blush and bronzer to define and contour the face. Everything else ad usual, no wings on the eyeliner, just line the top and bottom lash line.

I put a tiny bit on my five year old. Mainly, just a dark pressed powder, and some kind of lip balm.

I did see a kid at competition once, his mom did a whole face. Liquid liner, eyeshadow, red lipstick, the whole nine. Poor kid.

My sons wear base, brown blush, brown lipstick, brown eyeshadow & mascara (he has blonde hair). Not heavily pasted on, but enough to make sure he isn't 'white' looking onstage next to the girls.
